GBM Precision: a patient-led push to get personalized options to more people earlier

Hi everyone, I'm Rafael, a glioblastoma survivor and patient advocate.

Did you know that about 83 of every 100 people diagnosed with GBM have surgery, yet only a small minority reach a personalized treatment pathway (3-9%!!)? The gap is upstream: consent, tissue capture, live tissue preservation and molecular profiling are not coordinated early enough.

GBM Precision is a patient-led framework to change that. Our pilot target is 10–20× more innovations, with patients getting more options earlier and doctors making better-informed decisions. It is a target, and the pilot is designed to measure it.
